The Nursing Department of this esteemed facility is a subset of the body of professions within the health care sector where we focus on the care of individuals, families and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. 1. MATERNITY SERVICES: It involves both Antenatal and Post Natal Services in order to achieve safe conception delivery and puerperum.
2. FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES: In order to help individuals and couples decide on having children by choice and not by chance.
3. INFECTION CONTROL SERVICES: By providing care to patient who are HIV positive and all other related illness.
4. SPECIAL CARE BABY UNIT: By attending to babies who are born prematurely and other neonates and infants that come with congenital malformations and those require special care.
5. EMERGENCY SERVICES: Through collaborative efforts we attend to all kinds of emergency cases.
6. INTENSIVE CARE SERVICES: By ensuring safe care for patients with terminal disease/illness.
7. SURGICAL CASES: We provide nursing care for surgical cases both pre-operatively and post-operatively.
8. OUT-PATIENT SERVICES: We provide care for all medical cases such as Diabetes, Hypertension and all other life threatening illness.
9. STANDARD OPERATIVE PROCEDURES: We carry out standard operative procedures in attending to patient’s needs some of such procedures includes; Wound dressing, administration of drugs, ear irrigation, bed making, etc.
10. AMBULANCE SERVICES: We provide special referral services to our patient from our facility to other facilities. Due to our respect for human dignity and status, we provide special care for VIP/VVIP personalities. The Nursing Department of this faculty encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings.
